THE MINING LEASES (MODIFICATION OF TERMS) RULES – 1956

THE MINING LEASES (MODIFICATION OF TERMS) RULES, 1956 is made by Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Act, 1948 (53 of 1948). Amendment to the Mining Lease (Modification of Terms) Rules 1956 has been notified on June1, 1999 to bring the provisions of the Mining Leases (Modification of terms) Rules, 1956 at par with those in the Minerals concession Rules 1960 and the Minerals Conservation and Development Rules, 1988.
