GUIDELINES FOR FILLING & SUBMITTING RETURNS AND NOTICES TO IBM

For the development of minerals and regulation of mines, Government of India framed the Act known as Mines & Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act, 1957. This act under its section 4(2) specifically says that "No reconnaissance permit, prospecting license or mining lease" shall be granted otherwise than in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the rules made there under.

Rules were framed under Section 18 of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957. The Mineral Conservation and Development Rules, 1988 demands specific information through notices and returns. This information is very helpful in compilation of mineral database of India and future policy planning. These guidelines are for filling & submitting notices regarding reconnaissance permit, prospecting licence, mining lease & their transfers.
